About ADINOX M410 Low Odor Methacrylate Adhesive

ADINOX® M410 is a low odor methacrylate adhesive — a two-component, toughened structural adhesive with a 10:1 mix ratio, formulated for reliable bonding of metals, thermosets and thermoplastics across industrial and automotive applications.

Its balanced combination of high impact resistance, cohesive toughness and exceptional adhesion delivers joints that withstand dynamic loading, vibration and thermal cycling. The thixotropic, white-pigmented formulation of this low odor methacrylate adhesive fills gaps up to 0.47 in without sagging and develops handling strength within minutes at room temperature — enabling efficient assembly without extensive surface preparation.

  • 10:1 mix ratio by volume (8.8:1 by weight) - room temperature cure in 24 hours
  • Thixotropic, non-sagging - will not run on vertical surfaces

White Methacrylate Adhesive - Toughened Performance

  • White-pigmented mixed and cured color - clean finish on light substrates
  • Tensile strength: 1,850 - 2,450 PSI (ASTM D 638) - elongation 62 - 78%
  • Impact resistance >22 ft·lb/in (ASTM D 256) - absorbs vibration and dynamic loads
  • Lap shear >2,611 PSI on stainless steel - cohesive failure
  • Retains >2,300 PSI after 30-day immersion in gasoline, xylene and hot water

Low Odor - Non-Flame Propagating

  • Low odor, low shrinkage formulation for precision and enclosed assembly environments
  • Non-flame propagating - formulated for electrical and electronic assemblies with thermal safety requirements
  • Ideal for electronic enclosures, computer and server assemblies and automotive modules
  • The low odor methacrylate adhesive of choice for enclosed workspaces

How to Use ADINOX M410?

Surface Preparation

  • Wear gloves and protective eyewear - work in a well-ventilated area
  • Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease and oil
  • Degrease with ADINOX® DS 400 - clean mechanically or chemically if needed, then dry completely

Prepare the Adhesive

  • Purge a small amount of each component without the mixing nozzle
  • Attach the 10:1 mixing nozzle securely and insert the cartridge into the application gun
  • Purge again with the nozzle installed, then apply a continuous, uniform bead without stopping

Bond and Cure

  • Join parts within the 2 - 4 min open time - apply constant, uniform pressure
  • After the 6 - 8 min working time (~70% cure), do not move the parts
  • Full cure in 24 h at 77°F - remove the nozzle and clean the cartridge outlet horizontally

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ADINOX M305?

ADINOX M305 is a fast cure methacrylate adhesive: a two-component, 100% reactive structural adhesive with a 1:1 mix ratio, formulated to bond metals, plastics and composites with minimal surface preparation.

What is the mix ratio of M305?

M305 uses a convenient 1:1 mix ratio by volume and by weight, dispensed through a static mixing nozzle from a dual cartridge — making it a straightforward 1:1 mix ratio structural adhesive.

How fast does M305 cure?

As a rapid cure structural adhesive, M305 has a 4–6 minute open time and a 12–15 minute working time, reaching handling strength quickly and full cure in 24 hours at 77 °F.

Which substrates does M305 bond?

It bonds stainless steel, aluminum (Series 1000–6000), carbon steel, ABS, nylon, PMMA, PET, polycarbonate, fiberglass (FRP), Kevlar, wood and more. It is not suitable for polyolefins (PE/PP), PTFE, silicone, aluminum 7000 series, galvanized steel, or copper/brass/bronze.

What gap can M305 fill?

M305 fills gaps up to 0.275 in (7 mm), making it suitable for irregular joints and oversized bond lines without sagging on vertical surfaces.

What is the service temperature range?

Cured M305 performs from -40 to 250 °F (-40 to 121 °C), retaining cohesive failure performance through thermal cycling.

Does M305 need surface preparation?

Minimal preparation is required — surfaces only need to be clean, dry and free of grease or oil. For demanding applications, degrease with ADINOX® DS 400.

How does M305 compare to other 1:1 fast-cure methacrylate adhesives?

M305 is a fast setting MMA adhesive that matches the convenience of a 1:1 mix ratio with toughened impact and chemical resistance, offering a direct alternative for 1:1 fast-cure structural bonding programs.

Is M305 resistant to chemicals and weathering?

Yes. After 30-day immersion (ASTM D 1002, Al/Al), M305 retains >3,000 PSI against gasoline, xylene, 10% acetic acid, HD-30 oil, kerosene and hot water, and gains strength after the 30-day environmental cycle.
